Update on ProAct discount cards

In September, ProAct sent free pharmacy discount cards to approximately 91,000 Saratoga County residents. Since then, 4,674 cards have been used for a total of 8,592 claims.
According to an update city Supervisor Joanne Yepsen sent out, card users paid an average of $37.06 for their drugs and saved an average of $25.55.
The card is meant to help the uninsured who have to buy prescription drugs out of pocket.
Albany County recently adopted the program.
